After studying visual language at the University of Manitoba, the most important thing that I learned, was how to teach myself a new skill, and how to have the courage to start again.

Contrast is a must! Every hue, value and saturation variation opens new possibilities! I love adding luminosity and shimmer with metalic and pearlescent paints.

My Art Practices

Acrylic Painting

My creative tendency is towards, nature mixed with a bit of fantasy depicted with an abstract, often created with a dry brush technique. I am also exploring dot art.

Beading

I have started creating new earring designs. Stay tuned for updates.

Sash Weaving

Utilizing the age old indigenous technique of finger weaving with yarn obtained with modern practices, I am learning to create Métis Sashes in the traditional way. These sashes are a icon of Métis identity and widely respected.

3D Art

I have completed a course in Blender and am working on some short animation projects. These really bring together my skills of coding and art.
